Sr. Operations Scheduler
About The Position
We are currently seeking a Sr. Operations Scheduler for our MTC Campus in Tempe, AZ. This is an on-site role within the Operations Scheduling team and partners closely with Master Production Scheduling, Supply Network Planning, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Master Data, and external customers. The Sr. Operations Scheduler plays a key role in value stream planning, work order management, and daily collaboration with manufacturing operations teams. This position is responsible for key scheduling KPIs, including schedule adherence, backlog, and inventory forecasting and management. The role also supports MRP master data in an SAP environment, troubleshoots material scheduling issues, and participates in tiered meetings to provide updates on material availability and production priority changes. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant Supply Chain Planning experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant Supply Chain Planning experience
Nice To Haves
- Degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain
- MS or MBA preferred
- Medical Device or Medical Supplies Manufacturing experience
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
- Proficiency with MS Office, with strong emphasis on Access and Excel
- Working knowledge of SAP, Factoryworks, and Blue Yonder
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Experience implementing or utilizing Lean/Six Sigma techniques
- Knowledge of manufacturing, distribution planning, logistics, warehousing, or transportation
Responsibilities
- Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and directs material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of raw and approved finished goods materials timed to meet production requirements.
- Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, inventory levels, and potential production or material supply disruptions to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials, and services are provided on-time and at an optimal cost.
- Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load, and inventory requirements.
- Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, demand planning, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers, and requests for shipping orders.
- Support value stream planning and work order management
- Manage master data for MRP within an SAP environment
- Troubleshoot material scheduling issues and support resolution efforts
- Participate in tiered meetings and communicate updates on material availability and production priorities
- Collaborate daily with manufacturing operations and cross-functional partners
- Monitor and support key scheduling metrics, including schedule adherence, backlog, and inventory forecasting
