As a Senior Nutritionist, you’ll translate nutrition science into products on the shelves. Using your deep technical understanding and scientific knowledge, you’ll focus on product development, cross-functional work, and strong communication skills, as you and your team develop new technologies and provide expertise and insights to advance companion animal nutrition.

Requirements

PhD in nutrition or related field

Nice To Haves

Ability to travel up to 20%
Experience designing, managing, and publishing clinical research in animal nutrition is preferred
Diet formulation experience is preferred
Technical/functional knowledge in the area of metabolism or gastrointestinal physiology is preferred

Responsibilities

Initiate and lead research projects aligned to Nestlé Purina’s strategic areas related to pet health through nutrition
Function as a project team leader including providing project leadership and completing required documentation in a timely manner
Serve as a team member on assigned projects to provide nutritional and scientific support
Formulate research hypotheses, design experimental plans, and execute scientific studies
Effectively communicate results through oral presentations and written technical reports
Conduct all activities in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and all required Company Policies & Procedures
Leverage veterinary and consumer insights to drive innovation that promotes health and wellness of dogs and cats
Stay current in nutrition literature and intellectual property and propose new research approaches, methodologies, and technologies that may be applicable to Purina
Publish research in peer-reviewed journals, present at key industry conferences, and participate in Purina-sponsored symposia to introduce innovations
