About The Position

We are looking for a Sr. New Business Development Manager who will be responsible for sourcing new business opportunities and achieving revenue quotas in their assigned business segment. This individual will cold call prospects, develop opportunities through a defined sales process, travel to industry events and prospective client offices, and work in a fast-paced, remote sales environment.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience building rapport with clients, understanding their business goals, presenting appropriate solutions, and utilizing advanced skills in persuasion and negotiation to close a sale
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business, Communication, Marketing or another applicable field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven ability to meet/exceed sales targets
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, Salesforce.com, Gong.io, web technologies, and other applicable software applications
  • Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with software as a services (SaaS) and ‘value selling’ preferred (e.g., Challenger Sale or Solution Based Selling) (preferred)
  • Experience selling to large and complex organizations as well as managing a 6-12 month full sales cycle (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Develop the strategy and Total Addressable Market (TAM) for the company’s entrance into the Property & Casualty (P&C) personal lines market
  • Identify and plan approach for top 25 – 50 prospects from TAM, including the identification and plan for attending industry events
  • Contact new customer prospects at industry events, through phone calls and emails
  • Track sales activities in CRM (Salesforce); build customer profiles based on customer type and use case
  • Share industry and product experience to mentor more junior team members to achieve their revenue goals
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services to meet these needs
  • Understand industry trends to be able to effectively present the ‘why you should care’ message to clients
  • Successfully present value-based pricing
  • Manage new customer RFPs
  • Support assigned marketing campaigns and regularly provide status updates and feedback to the sales leaders and marketing department
  • Utilize training and tools to acquire insights into the markets we serve, learn how our unique products and services fulfill the needs of our clients, and develop an understanding of the regulatory environment that exists within our various market segments
  • Report to General Manager, Insurance on sales results (weekly/monthly/quarterly), achieve annual sales quota and demonstrate progress toward sales goals throughout the year
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
