About The Position

We are seeking a Sr. Network Security Engineer for a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing, implementing, and configuring network security technologies that are scalable and improve detection and response. This role involves working closely with team members and incorporating lessons learned from incident investigations to improve monitoring, alerting, and automation capabilities. A valid LinkedIn profile is required for application.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• 8+ years’ experience in mid-large global enterprise networking infrastructure
• Extensive experience with PAN Palo Alto Networks, Juniper or Fortinet firewalls
• Experience managing on-prem and cloud firewalls and utilizing security best practices
• Experience with firewall management tools and technologies such as, Panorama, Firemon, Prisma access, IPSec, Global Protect VPN
• Experience with monitoring and visibility platforms Splunk, NetBox, Kentik and Grafana, Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, IPAM, RADIUS, network taps, and load/stress testing tools
• Experience with automation to generate and push config at wide scale and collect performance metrics
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues
• Troubleshoot end to end security issue affecting networks using command line tools
• Strong professional and interpersonal skills with the eagerness to work collaboratively with others.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with other networking vendors and technologies is a plus; Arista, Juniper, switching & routing, spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, end to end QOS, VRRP, LACP, MLAG, ACLs.
• PCNSE, CWNA/CWSP, JNCIP preferred
• Prefer PCNSE (Palo Alto), CCNP - DC, Routing, Switching
