About The Position

Position is responsible for operating company's internal data communications systems. Supporting and troubleshooting network issues and coordinates with vendors for installation of such items as routers and switches. Responsibility also includes working on project implementation, and providing training and assisting with proposal writing.

Requirements

  • CCNA or CCNP Certifications or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in network design, implementation and documentation.
  • 1-2 years of experience in implementation of network improvements.
  • Experience with switching / routing / Wi-Fi and FW/VPN on Cisco platform.
  • Experience with Checkpoint firewalls.
  • Designing and maintaining Checkpoint Firewall-1/VPN-1 solutions (R65 and above).
  • Upgrade HW/SW gateways and management.
  • Working with IP appliance platforms.
  • Creating VPN tunnels to customer networks
  • Knowledge of "Traditional mode" configurations.
  • Knowledge of encryption technologies, PKI and firewall systems.
  • Knowledge of networking in general, TCP-IP, routing protocols, etc.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Strong planning and organizing skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent problem resolution skills.
  • Attendance and schedule adherence are requirement of this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Beneficial knowledge of VoIP.

Responsibilities

  • Performing local, remote and inter-networking design, implementation and documentation.
  • Utilizing and integrating network components such as bridges, routers and remote asynchronous links.
  • Monitoring the performance of the network platform and making technical recommendations on improvements if necessary.
  • Identifying business leads, interfacing with sales and providing input into technical proposal development.
  • Coordinating and taking lead of assigned projects in all technical and communication aspects.
  • Providing technical networking support to customers and peers.
  • Supporting the implementation and ongoing operations of network access control devices to include firewalls, web proxies, and SSL VPN devices.
  • Working collaboratively across a variety of business units to implement new technology.
  • Building and configuring solutions in the development, test and production environment.
  • Documenting the security infrastructure and design.
  • Managing problems, maintaining vendor relationships, and assisting operation with vendor escalation and issue resolution.
  • Facilitating device refresh of network security devices with a focus on capacity, manageability, and security of new and existing security infrastructure.
  • Designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise class devices.
  • Troubleshooting issues including network protocol and log analysis, raw data captures, and the correlation of disparate events spanning multiple devices and platforms.
  • Enterprising network architecture, design, and support including network hardware, network protocols, and data flows.
