Sr Network Engineer
About The Position
ShopperTrak RCT Corporation seeks a Sr Network Engineer to engage in the multi-functional SRE team working on Google Cloud environments. The role requires expertise in Networking, Load Balancing, and Google Kubernetes Engine. The engineer will contribute to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, help set standards, and advise on standard methodologies' architecture with respect to redundancy, security, and efficiency. Responsibilities include working on connectivity within and to the cloud, collaborating with the parent company on office connectivity challenges, and managing the relationship with Google TAM. This position serves as a main point of contact for advanced troubleshooting scenarios.
Requirements
- Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience as a Network Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or related occupation involving networking/troubleshooting in Cloud Technologies in the retail or IoT industry.
- Employment experience utilizing networking concepts such as routing, VPNs, firewalls, packet captures, DNS, and DHCP.
- Employment experience with use and management of Aviatrix or similar cloud networking technologies.
- Employment experience with certificates and load balancers operations, deployments, and observability.
- Employment experience conducting architecture reviews, threat modeling, and technical due diligence to ensure system integrity and security.
- Employment experience automating with Terraform for deployment of all systems and components.
- Employment experience with deployment, management and observability of L3 firewalls, Web Application Firewalls, and Reverse Proxy servers.
Responsibilities
- Engage in the multi-functional SRE team working on Google Cloud environments.
- Expert in Networking, Load Balancing, and Google Kubernetes Engine.
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and help to set standards.
- Advise on standard methodologies' architecture with respect to redundancy, security, and efficiency.
- Work on connectivity within and to the cloud, collaborating with parent company to work through connectivity challenges from offices.
- Help to manage the relationship with Google TAM.
- Serve as a main point of contact for advanced troubleshooting scenarios.
- Manage Google Workspace (Gsuite) as a superuser admin.
- Manage Google Cloud permissions.
- Manage cloud networking, IPAM, NAT, VPNs, and connectivity between cloud environments.
- Manage load balancing (Google and F5).
- Manage network security including firewall rule management.
- Manage Google Kubernetes Engine standards.
- Manage Google Cloud automation (primarily with Terraform).
- Manage DNS in Google Cloud and AWS.
- Manage domain management in Network Solutions.
- Manage the Sendgrid email system in GCP.
- Ensure SOC2 compliance for areas of responsibility.
- Understand most GCP products to assist developers as needed.
- Maintain the Google Technical Account Manager (TAM) relationship for premium support.
