About The Position

Optim Health System is seeking a full time Sr. Network Administrator for our Savannah location. This role is responsible for designing, planning, and implementing network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and physical cabling. The administrator will also implement and enforce network security policies, configure firewalls, and monitor for security threats. Responsibilities include diagnosing and resolving complex network issues, monitoring network performance, and maintaining network documentation. The role also involves interacting with vendors, maintaining data centers, server backups, and data migrations.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and network monitoring tools.
  • Server Administration that includes configuration, management, and maintenance of: Windows Environment, Physical servers, AD Authentication and Security, VMWare Management, Citrix environment, Window updates and patching.
  • Network Administration that includes configuration, management, and maintenance of: LAN, WAN, WLANs, VPN configuration, Watchguard firewalls, Unifi and Dell switches, Unifi wireless controllers and cameras.
  • Data Center configuration and monitoring of: Pure Storage SAN solutions, Equallogic SAN storage, Nutanix Storage, ExaGrid Storage.
  • Security and antivirus management: Sentinel One, Halcyon, DUO.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, and implement network infrastructure, including hardware (servers, routers, switches, firewalls), software, and physical cabling.
  • Implement and enforce network security policies, configure firewalls, and access controls, and monitor for security threats.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex network issues, often working with other IT teams to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Monitor network performance, analyze data, and implement changes to improve efficiency and availability.
  • Create and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Interact with vendors for hardware and software procurement, support, and maintenance.
  • Maintain Data Centers and server backups and data migrations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
