About The Position

The Senior Mobility Engineer role is responsible to drive the overall direction, development, enhancement and maintenance of the enterprise Mobility environment. This includes analysis, planning, development and implementation of new features and enhancements to provide required levels of service to the organization. The engineer will direct supporting resources and vendors to ensure that all equipment is properly installed, configured, secured, and maintained. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly server infrastructure, critical business applications, and the overall end user experience when using MDM/MAM as the application delivery mechanism.

Requirements

  • B.S./B.A. or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of technology experience
  • 5 years of experience working in enterprise level Mobile environments, with at least 5 years’ experience designing/implementing/administrating enterprise mobile MAM/MDM solutions
  • Expert knowledge of MAM/MDM solutions
  • Ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
  • Self-driven
  • Citrix Endpoint Management
  • Airwatch Expert: Enterprise Mobility

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of VMware
  • Knowledge of MS SQL Server
  • Good understanding on Storage Area Networks, Network Attached Storage, storage system capacity and performance, fiber channel, NFS, iSCSI, and FCOE protocols

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading the development and maintenance of roadmaps, maintenance scheduling, life cycle management, and capacity management for the Mobile environment (Citrix Endpoint Management, VMWare Airwatch, Soti MobiConnect) and related dependent technologies.
  • Primarily responsible for the design, implementation, and support of solutions related to Mobility projects and initiatives.
  • Responsible for leading the day-to-day administration, planning, and problem-solving for the Mobility environment; own and escalate issues through resolution.
  • Identify inefficiencies, gaps and issues, and drive the analysis and documentation of technical requirements for enterprise Mobility architecture, guiding adoption of and adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Responsible for leading Disaster Recovery solutions as it relates to the Mobile environment by developing and maintaining a library of procedures for disaster recovery documentation.
  • Responsible for performance tuning and providing a high availability Mobile environment to eliminate single points of failure.
  • Accurately maintain all documentation as it relates to configuration, processes, service records, asset inventories, topologies, administration manuals, job instructions, support contacts etc.
  • Ensures IT Leadership is aware of all known and identified risks to system availability, performance, reliability and security.
  • Proactively identify enhancements to improve performance and reliability. Provide innovative solutions to solve business problems. Stay current with new emerging technologies and industry research to identify opportunities to leverage new technologies and improve processes.
  • Coach and mentor staff regarding technology, methodologies and standards. Proactively share knowledge and collaborate with IT teams to ensure quick and effective responses to customer needs.
