Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years as a supervisor or manager.
  • In lieu of bachelor's degree, associate's degree AND 12-15 years of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of project management tools, techniques, and contracting.
  • Demonstrated financial management knowledge in Budgeting and Forecasting.
  • Proven leadership ability in a high performance culture.
  • Proven high-level management skills in coaching and facilitating business competency.
  • Proven performance management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus, establish trust, communicate effectively, negotiate, and foster culture change.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement process enhancements and efficiencies including technology and performance.

  • Ability to review and understand contract structure and impact.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field
  • PMP Certification
  • 5 years supervisory experience and 5 years managing projects or programs or relevant business experience
  • Electric industry background in the construction, maintenance and troubleshooting of transmission & substation equipment/systems or distribution control systems.
  • Contracting strategy knowledge beyond T&E, Unit Price, and Lump Sum. Knowledge of contractor Wage Rate analysis.
  • Understanding of Long Range Planning (LRP) development, including budget and scoping. Ability to create and implement cost control and efficiency strategies

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the development and implementation of short and long term strategic initiatives designed to assure the highest levels of customer services, maximize profitability and achieve Exelon's reliability and customer retention goals.
  • Manage the overall Project Management budget. Establish and monitor business plans and division objectives. Balance cost control with service level needs.
  • Develop and maintain an environment that fosters a high performance culture and a learning organization. Leads Project Management team in promoting diversity. Serves as a change agent for business initiatives and assures the human element is understood and considered. Assure timely recognition of employee contributions.
  • Provide leadership to and development of the Project Management team. Provide accurate and timely feedback regarding performance and operations. Conduct Performance Planning and Appraisal process. Identifies opportunities for growth and learning.
  • Interface with other departments in Exelon and represent Exelon to other business units regarding projects under management and tools to support the process.
  • Facilitates open and honest communication with Project Management staff. Assures that upward communication is integrated into the process, including employee grievances and complaints. Develop methods to assess communication effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $151,200.00/Yr. – $207,900.00/Yr. plus an additional $25K in Long Term Incentive Plan annually.
