About The Position

The Sr Mgr, Nursing & Clinical Support Training is responsible for supervising RN functions, including RN Trainers and Affiliate RNs. This role involves orienting and training new RN Trainers, coordinating schedules, and conducting annual performance reviews. The position also oversees the development and updating of curriculum for RN and HSS training modules, facilitates HSS training, and manages the Affiliate RN program. Key responsibilities include assessing training needs, overseeing staffing and scheduling, monitoring workflow efficiency, and maintaining training tracking for both RNs and HSSs.

Requirements

  • Active California and Nevada RN licenses
  • Experience providing clinical training
  • Experience as a recovery room RN
  • Experience working in a health center under standardized procedures
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel to different locations throughout the affiliate
  • Ability to communicate effectively, make decisions, solve problems and function as a team leader
  • Excellent organizational skills, a sense of responsibility and a high level of motivation
  • Current experience using computer and mouse
  • Experience using Microsoft Office programs and willingness to learn new computer skills
  • Flexibility in working hours, including the ability to work nights and weekends

Responsibilities

  • Supervises RN Trainer and Affiliate RN functions.
  • Orients and trains new RN Trainers in all RN and HSS modules, providing feedback, direction, and assessing competence.
  • Works with RN Trainers, Center Managers, and Sr Program Manager of AB Services to coordinate schedules.
  • Conducts annual performance reviews for supervised staff.
  • Serves as a resource for Affiliate RNs regarding standardized procedures.
  • May check off RNs in SRH services and standardized procedures.
  • Orients RNs to the role of signing off HSSs in all skills.
  • Orients RNs to MAB services.
  • Orients and trains new Recovery Room RNs.
  • Provides PPMM IV Certification.
  • Provides assessment input to annual performance reviews for Affiliate RNs in conjunction with Center Managers and Lead Clinicians.
  • Oversees the development of curriculum for all RN and HSS training modules in conjunction with HSS and RN training teams.
  • Reviews and updates the RN Manual and training resources annually.
  • Facilitates HSS training, including Reproductive Health modules and Family Medicine modules.
  • Conducts skills practicums and completes the check-off process at the HSS' home site when indicated.
  • Maintains training tracking for HSSs in conjunction with Training Teams.
  • Oversees the Affiliate RN program, including ongoing program assessment, staffing and scheduling oversight, assessment for training opportunities, assessment of workflow and efficiency improvement, and monitoring RN productivity.
  • Maintains training tracking for RNs in conjunction with Training Teams.
