Sr Mgr Financial Balancing & Controls
About The Position
This position is responsible for leading and managing the financial processes and the internal and external reporting of premiums, claims, capitations, bank reconciliations, vendor balancing and payments, pharmacy rebates, hospital discounts. Oversees communication with auditors, reviewing responses for quality and consistency, and responding to queries about overall process and procedures. Provides final approval of all department journal entries and account reconciliations. Assists in the development and coordination of major financial reporting system changes associated with new product lines, mergers, acquisitions, etc., that impact premiums, claims, capitations, pharmacy rebates, bank reconciliations, etc., and oversees the implementation of those changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Business, Finance OR Accounting
- 7 years professional work experience in accounting and/or managing projects
- 4 years of management experience a Business-related field OR in Finance
- Clear, concise, grammatical communication with appropriate word choice, to all levels of management
- PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Lotus Notes
- Excellent analytical skills, detailed-oriented, managing and prioritizing several tasks at the same time
- Ability and willingness to travel within assigned areas of responsibility, including overnight stays
