About The Position

The Sr Mfg Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all manufacturing equipment, including automated manufacturing systems, robotic materials handling equipment, and production equipment. This role also supports critical plant systems such as WFI, distilled water, steam, compressed air, reverse osmosis systems, and boiler systems.

Requirements

  • Must have a working knowledge of PLC programming and controls hardware.
  • Experienced in advanced automated processes, assembly, and packaging.
  • Experienced in trouble shooting, system analysis, and repair of electro-mechanical equipment.
  • Automated manufacturing.
  • PLC programming.
  • Robot programming.
  • 4 - 6 years' related experience.
  • HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical expertise.
  • Production manufacturing experience in regulated industry strongly preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Technical Degree and 4-6 years related experience preferred, or combination equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as gear boxes, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
  • Work with electrical schematics by utilizing applicable software, project wiring and termination.
  • Work with the software engineer on learning Siemens software trouble shooting techniques.
  • Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Maintain and program industrial robotics.
  • Rebuild and maintain equipment to meet high production output.
  • Complete various tasks in resourceful and effective ways.
  • Lead the repair, maintaining, and operation of utility, electrical, and mechanical systems as required.
  • Work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative.
  • Understand implications of work and make recommendations for solutions.
  • May act as an informal team leader and provide assistance to other technicians with support tasks that require considerable judgment and initiative.
  • Effectively communicate with production and maintenance supervisors or designates to diagnose and correct equipment problems.
  • May escalate difficult/complex issues to Manager for resolution, as deemed necessary.
  • Assist with various projects as assigned by Manager.
  • Observe, evaluate, and suggest operational/design changes or maintenance needs based on performance and Quality Assurance limits to maintain or increase efficiency of manufacturing equipment.
  • Responsible for following current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in performing above duties.
  • Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
