About The Position

We have a customer near El Cerrito, CA who has an IMMEDIATE long-term DIRECT HIRE opening for a Sr. Mechanical Sustaining Engineer. In this role you will be directly involved in product improvement, enhancement and upgrade for a complete line of gas and liquid flow devices that are used for semiconductor manufacturing and similar industries. You will solve design issues using structured problem solving techniques including Fishbone Analysis, 5 Whys, stress analysis, DFM/DFA, working with suppliers and more. This is a long-term DIRECT HIRE position and must be worked on site.

Requirements

• BSME or MSME (preferred) and over 7 years experience working in product design and sustaining/product improvement
• Experience in the design of precision machined parts and complex assemblies with tight tolerances using GD&T, stack-ups and engineering calculations (stress analysis, etc.)
• Experience with 3D CAD design and modeling using AUTOCAD INVENTOR, SOLIDWORKS of similar
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Nice To Haves

• Experience working in a hi-volume and regulated environment highly preferred (semiconductor, medical, aerospace, automotive, etc.)
• Experience with liquid/gas flow devices, valves, manifolds, regulators, or high pressure devices
