About The Position

Beyond TalentEdge has a direct hire opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Estimator. This opportunity allows you to be part of an ESOP. Our client is a large local Mechanical Contractor handling complex projects for their East Coast Market. A FULL JOB DESCRIPTION CAN BE PROVIDED TO QUALIFIED/INTERESTED CANDIDATES. As a Senior Mechanical Estimator with The Bell Company, you will have the opportunity to use your skills to work on hospitals, laboratories, projects, large industrial and institutional projects.

Requirements

• Must have experience delivering complete estimates in Design Build, Design Assist, and Hard Bid Formats.
• Must have demonstrated experience in estimating in a hard-bid market.
• Must have demonstrated experience developing accurate estimates from schematic design documents.
• Must have experience in writing subcontractor scopes, negotiating pricing and issuing subcontracts.
• Must have experience soliciting pricing from vendors and suppliers as well as negotiating buy out pricing and scopes.
• Experience in project controls such as submittals, purchase orders, material take offs and releases are required skills.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Willing to work all hours and schedules assigned.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC Ductwork estimating experience is beneficial but not required

Responsibilities

• Complete mechanical and plumbing estimates with project size exceeding $10 million.
• Complete estimates in Design Build, Design Assist, and Hard Bid Formats.
• Develop accurate estimates from schematic design documents.
• Write subcontractor scopes, negotiating pricing and issuing subcontracts.
• Mentor Junior Estimators.
