About The Position
Prequel Solutions is supporting an established robotics company seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for an immediate contract engagement supporting development of a next-generation mobile robotic platform. This is a hands-on mechanical design role focused on taking existing concepts through detailed design, prototyping and build.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical design and product development experience.
- SolidWorks experience preferred.
- Experience with enclosures, mechanisms and/or actuated systems.
- Experience taking designs through prototype and physical build.
- Ability to step into an active project and contribute quickly.
- Robotics
Nice To Haves
- Robotics/electromechanical experience preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical design of robotic enclosures, structures and mechanical assemblies.
- Design and refinement of mechanisms, including actuated doors and linkage systems.
- Integrate sensors, displays, wiring/harnesses and related hardware.
- Develop CAD models and detailed drawings for fabrication.
- Support prototype builds, troubleshooting and design iteration.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software and robotics engineers.
