Requirements

7+ years of mechanical product-development experience, including technical ownership of complex assemblies.
Experience in product design from concept through detailed design, verification, release, and production support.
Working knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and engineering change control.
Ability to communicate technical tradeoffs, risks, and recommendations across design, manufacturing, analysis, suppliers, and customers.
Advanced SolidWorks; experience with PLM/PDM and formal release processes.
Demonstrated cost-reduction, supplier collaboration, and technical-leadership experience.

Nice To Haves

Strong mechanical product-development background with cost-reduction and DFM leadership.
Advanced SolidWorks capability for parts, assemblies, drawings, configurations, and design changes.
Structures, sheet metal, welded assemblies, piping, fittings, plastics, tolerance analysis, and mechanical interfaces.
Ability to combine CAD, CAE results, supplier feedback, validation planning, and cost data into design decisions.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical work packages and allocate activities across the mechanical team.
Develop and review redesign concepts for pack structures, roof/base skid, cell hardware, piping, fittings, scrubber vessel, and sustaining issues.
Drive design reviews, problem resolution, supplier DFM discussions, and cross-functional decisions.
Ensure designs maintain critical interfaces and backward compatibility where required.
Review CAD, drawings, GD&T, tolerance analyses, BOMs, cost estimates, and validation plans.
Coordinate FEA, CFD, plastics, materials, electrical, manufacturing, and sourcing inputs.
