About The Position

The Sr. Mechanical Engineer develops, documents, and validates new product designs and improves existing designs for complex mechanical systems used in surgery. The role focuses on novel robotic laparoscopic energy instruments and next-generation reusable and disposable surgical instruments, including miniaturizing architectures and expanding surgical capabilities to hard and structural anatomy. The engineer designs mechanical parts and assemblies, analyzes electromechanical systems, develops theoretical models and simulations, and confirms designs through prototyping and testing. The role also supports verification and validation, supplier and manufacturing collaboration, design controls and FDA-required documentation, new product introduction, root-cause investigations, and sustaining engineering for manufacturing and field issues. The position is fully onsite and has a day shift.
