About The Position

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Sr. Mechanical Engineer for their Charlotte, NC office to provide design services for diverse projects in Federal/Municipal Government, Healthcare, or Aviation. The role involves leading a team in a collaborative environment, managing design schedules, and interacting directly with Architects and Owners. The engineer will be responsible for conducting preliminary evaluations, preparing reports, and producing design documents including drawings, specifications, and reports.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (PE Registration preferred)
• 10 plus years of experience in Mechanical Design including HVAC load calculations, Life Cycle Cost Analysis, air distribution design of VAV and CV systems, hydronic system design, equipment selection
• Extensive knowledge of the International Mechanical and Energy Conservation Codes
• Must know REVIT and AutoCAD
• Must be able to work as part of a team and manage multiple projects
• Must be self-motivated and work independently to complete work assignments
• Must be a US Citizen and have a Real ID valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Federal/Municipal Government, Healthcare or Aviation preferred but not required
