We have an exciting opportunity for Senior Material and Process Engineer to join our Material and Process (M&P) team supporting varieties of product lines in North Texas Region. The engineer will be primarily responsible for material and process specification creations, material gear part creations, material managements, and incoming shelf-life-controlled material verifications. The engineer will work with a cross functional team including manufacture engineers, supply chains, operation value stream, and program authority to resolve pressing technical design and producibility issues. The Material and Process Engineering team within McKinney, TX drives business success by providing engineering expertise to solve today’s problems in multiple domains. The material engineering discipline serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the material characteristic in terms of hardware compatibility, operation endurance, manufacture environment adaptability and many aspects of producibility incorporation.

Requirements

University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience.
Experience with interpreting technical datasheets, Mil-Standard and ASTM
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access required information
High level of professional technical writing skills

Nice To Haves

Proficient in presenting technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
Demonstrated problem solving skills with data-driven approaches
An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience

Responsibilities

Responsible for material management in Common Product Data Management (cPDM), this includes gear part and material drawing maintenance, and all aspects of sustainment activities.
Identify, evaluate and recommend material & process improvements to meet new product requirements.
Responsible for material and process specification creation and maintenance
Be a part of rapid response team that address factory manufacture process interruption due to M&P specification issue
