About The Position

Take a central role in analyzing and managing market risks on trading floors, conducting advanced stress testing, assessing exposure limits, and evaluating value at risk (VaR) to fortify risk management strategies. Contribute to the development of sophisticated risk models, offer strategic insights into market dynamics, and provide guidance to junior analysts in their daily responsibilities. Play a key role in facilitating informed decision-making and ensuring regulatory compliance across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools such as Python, R, or MATLAB.
Strong understanding of financial markets, trading instruments, and risk management principles.
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for financial modeling and analysis.
Minimum 7 years of experience in market risk management or a related field.
Proven track record of developing and implementing risk models and methodologies.
Experience in stress testing, scenario analysis, and value at risk (VaR) calculations.
Strong understanding of financial derivatives, including options, futures, and swaps.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in risk management.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments.
Adherence to strict confidentiality and ethical standards in handling sensitive financial information.

Nice To Haves

CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation.

Responsibilities

Lead daily risk control process and risk reports; working alongside with traders, operators and IT to manage market risk.
Ensure daily data integrity, validate positions and reconcile data inconsistencies with traders.
Monitor and report daily price exposure, mark-to-market and P&L to management.
Lead advanced stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate market risks accurately.
Assess exposure limits and evaluate value at risk (VaR) to fortify risk management strategies.
Develop and maintain sophisticated risk models tailored to the organization's trading floors.
Provide strategic insights into market dynamics and their impact on risk exposure.
Guide and mentor junior analysts in conducting market risk assessments and analyses.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk mitigation strategies effectively.
Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices.
