About The Position
The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at Raytheon’s Diné Facility in Farmington, New Mexico, develops, tests, modifies, and creates manufacturing solutions in collaboration with stakeholders and a multidisciplinary team. The position is onsite and requires U.S. citizenship because only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under the program or contract. No security clearance is required. The facility follows the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act in recruitment and hiring practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM).
- Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with work instructions in a manufacturing environment.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with a shop floor management system such as SAP, PRISM, ERP, MRP, or similar manufacturing software.
- Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools, preferably CREO/ProE, and hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines.
- Experience with automated tooling and machinery, including programming and adjusting software parameters on production or process equipment to fix problems or improve performance.
- Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and technical writing experience.
- Experience with project execution.
- Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- An innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and keeps pace with advances in technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, control, and improve manufacturing processes in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Improve cycle times and lead times.
- Implement manufacturing process control and performance monitoring.
- Create and oversee improvement projects.
- Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes.
- Perform hardware defect analysis.
- Participate in corrective action investigations.
