About The Position

Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support its Electrical Power Systems (EPS) component and module team. Reporting to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead – Electrical Power Systems (EPS), this role develops and implements cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods that meet product specifications and quality standards. The engineer supports manufacturing issues on existing designs and new satellite mechanisms early in the design phase, provides design-for-manufacturability input, supports assembly testing, and plans the transition from design and test into production. The position focuses on tailoring manufacturing processes and methods to EPS components and modules to enhance their reliability and performance in satellite applications. It includes developing production capabilities, procedures, layouts, and documentation; coordinating with engineering, technicians, quality teams, machine shops, and vendors; leading production-readiness activities; and driving productivity and cost improvements while maintaining product reliability and mission success. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline or equivalent professional work experience, at least five years of manufacturing engineering experience in a high-reliability manufacturing environment, and at least one year in electronics, electric hardware, or space hardware build and development. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance are required. The position operates in a professional office environment within a manufacturing company and is generally sedentary, with substantial computer use. The listed salary range is $115,000–$155,000 USD. Terran Orbital describes itself as a satellite products manufacturer serving primarily the aerospace and defense industries, providing end-to-end satellite solutions.
