About The Position

The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will serve as the technical lead for one of our manufacturing lines, driving continuous improvement, new product integration, and the ongoing advancement of manufacturing processes and technology. This role will provide leadership and mentorship to site Manufacturing Engineers while partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, and other cross functional teams to support day to day production needs and future product launches. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will also lead efforts to advance the line through new technologies, automation, smart tools, AMRs, and manufacturing system integration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering or related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading manufacturing engineering activities for a complex assembly or production line.
  • Strong background in continuous improvement, process optimization, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD), engineering changes, and manufacturing readiness.
  • Experience implementing advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation, AMRs, smart tools, connected manufacturing systems, or similar technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Experience identifying, evaluating, and implementing new manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and processes.
  • Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting complex production issues and partnering with Operations to develop sustainable solutions.
  • Experience improving safety, quality, throughput, efficiency, and ergonomics within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional manufacturing projects from concept through implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completion of a project or parts of multiple projects of complexity on time and utilize lean/six sigma principles and methodologies in making process improvements.
  • Performs complex engineering calculations, investigations, and prepares delivery of plans, designs, computation methods and/or reporting.
  • Manage the development of timely and accurate N/C programs to aid in efficiency in production.
  • Determine appropriate assembly fixturing that are complex in nature.
  • Review and select required special tooling and equipment.
  • Determine and improve processes to meet production levels.
  • Collaborate with Production team and Operations/Engineering teams.
  • Develop and support recommendations for new equipment and tooling.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to others within the Engineering organization.
