The Wealth Management Academy team is responsible for developing the next generation of Wealth Management talent. As a Senior Manager, Wealth Management Academy, you'll lead participant development from onboarding through program completion, helping individuals build the skills, confidence, and readiness needed to transition into Wealth Management client-facing roles. You'll also help attract and develop talent for the Wealth Management track of the Schwab Intern Academy, delivering an exceptional intern experience. Additionally, you'll support Career Pathways initiatives that connect aspiring Wealth Management talent with networking, development, and internal mobility opportunities across the firm. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about coaching talent, building strong partnerships, and creating meaningful development experiences. Your work directly supports talent readiness, employee engagement, and the long-term growth of Schwab's Wealth Management organization. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location: Charlotte, NC

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop talent by providing meaningful feedback, building development plans, and helping individuals achieve readiness for future roles and career growth.
  • Proven ability to build trusted partnerships across teams and organizational levels, leveraging collaboration and influence to achieve shared goals and deliver successful talent initiatives.
  • Ability to lead effectively through change, adjust leadership style to meet the needs of different audiences, and navigate ambiguity within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrates a senior learning mindset by seeking input from peers and leaders, integrating feedback into measurable behavior changes, and sharing best practices—coaching others informally to raise advisory quality and client experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Wealth Management products, services, financial planning, and investment guidance.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Active FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses required.

Nice To Haves

  • Series 9/10 license preferred or must be attained as a condition of employment.
  • CFP® designation highly preferred.
