About The Position

The Senior Manager, Treasury leads treasury operations for Air Transport Services Group and its subsidiaries. This position owns daily cash management and positioning, cash forecasting, bank relationship and account administration, debt administration and covenant compliance, payment and card programs, and the treasury control environment across the group. This is a hands-on leadership role in a growing company. The Senior Manager will manage an existing team, formalize policy and controls, replace manual processes with scalable systems and procedures, and improve cash visibility and liquidity discipline. Aviation industry experience is not required.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline required.
Minimum of seven (7) years of corporate treasury operations or commercial banking experience, with demonstrated ownership of daily cash management and forecasting.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience supervising, coaching, and developing staff.
Demonstrated experience managing bank relationships, bank account administration, and banking platform administration.
Demonstrated experience with debt administration and covenant compliance reporting in a leveraged or bank-financed environment.
Experience designing or improving treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
Experience working across multiple legal entities in a multi-subsidiary organization.
Strong working knowledge of banking systems, products, and terminology, including cash concentration structures, ACH and wire mechanics, positive pay, and account analysis.
Strong understanding of credit agreement mechanics, including covenants, borrowing bases, availability, and reporting requirements.
High standard of accuracy, control discipline, and integrity in handling sensitive financial information and payment authority.
Ability to operate hands-on in a lean team while simultaneously building scalable processes for a larger organization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present cash and liquidity matters clearly to executives and lenders.
Ability to manage competing deadlines and daily operational obligations without allowing project work to stall.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and general proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with treasury management systems, bank reporting and connectivity platforms, and enterprise resource planning systems.
Working knowledge of accounting for debt, interest, and cash transactions.
Familiarity with cash forecasting methodology and forecast accuracy measurement.
Must be able to work in a professional office environment in Wilmington, Ohio. Occasional travel, generally in the range of five to ten percent, may be required to support business needs.

Nice To Haves

Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation strongly preferred.
CPA, MBA, or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience in a private equity-backed or highly leveraged environment, including sponsor and lender reporting.
Experience selecting and implementing a treasury management system.
Experience with asset-backed, aircraft, equipment, or other secured financing structures.
Experience with interest rate hedging and swap documentation.
Experience in a capital-intensive industry such as aviation, transportation, logistics, or industrials.
Experience consolidating or rationalizing banking structures following acquisitions or ownership change.

Responsibilities

Own daily cash positioning and concentration across all ATSG legal entities and bank accounts, ensuring funds are available where required at the lowest practical cost.
Own the short-term and rolling thirteen-week cash forecast, including methodology, data sourcing from business units, variance analysis against actuals, and continuous improvement of forecast accuracy.
Manage revolver draws and repayments, short-term investment of surplus funds, and intercompany funding and settlement in accordance with policy.
Monitor and report liquidity, availability, and cash headroom to the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer on a defined cadence.
Partner with Corporate FP&A to reconcile the short-term cash forecast to the longer-term financial forecast and capital plan.
Serve as the primary day-to-day relationship manager for the company’s banking partners, coordinating service reviews, product evaluations, and issue resolution.
Own bank account administration across the group, including account openings and closings, signatory and delegated authority maintenance, entitlements and user access, and know your customer and anti-money laundering documentation.
Administer online banking portals and treasury systems, including access controls, dual authorization, and periodic access reviews.
Perform bank fee analysis and account analysis review and pursue cost reduction and service rationalization opportunities.
Manage letters of credit, bank guarantees, surety, and similar instruments, including issuance, renewal, and exposure tracking.
Own the corporate card and purchasing card programs, including consolidation across entities, program administration, policy compliance, rebate optimization, and expense system integration.
Oversee outbound payment processes, including wire and ACH release controls, payment approval workflows, and fraud prevention measures such as positive pay.
Administer the company’s debt portfolio, including credit facilities, term debt, aircraft and asset-backed financings, and lease obligations.
Maintain amortization, interest, and fee schedules; validate lender invoices; and calculate and coordinate scheduled payments.
Own the covenant compliance calculation and certification process, including preparation of borrowing base and compliance certificates, coordination with accounting, and delivery of lender and sponsor reporting packages on schedule.
Maintain a calendar of all lender, agent, and sponsor reporting obligations and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
Support financing and capital markets activity, including refinancings, amendments, new facilities, and asset-level financing, through data preparation, lender diligence support, pricing analysis, and closing coordination.
Monitor interest rate and foreign exchange exposure and support the evaluation and administration of hedging arrangements including interest rate swaps.
Prepare period journal entries for debt, interest expense, and related fee accruals, or review those prepared by the team, in coordination with Accounting.
Assess the current treasury control environment and lead remediation of identified gaps as an early priority in the role.
Develop, document, and maintain treasury policies and procedures covering cash management, investment, bank account governance, delegated authority, payments, and hedging.
Serve as the primary treasury contact for internal and external audit and maintain evidence of control operation.
Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of treasury technology, including treasury management system capability, bank connectivity, and integration with the enterprise resource planning environment.
Reduce manual and spreadsheet-dependent processes through automation, standardization, and system enablement.
Own treasury business continuity planning, including backup access, contingency funding, and disaster recovery procedures.
Lead, coach, and develop the treasury team, establishing clear ownership, cross-training, backup coverage, and professional development plans.
Rebalance workload across the team to eliminate single points of failure and create capacity for higher-value analytical work.
Partner with Accounting, Tax, Legal, Procurement, and business unit finance teams on cash, payment, funding, and banking matters.
Provide clear, concise reporting and analysis on cash, liquidity, debt, and treasury operations to executive leadership and ownership.
