About The Position

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain is responsible for leading, developing, and optimizing Inquis Medical's end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of materials, components, and finished medical devices. This role oversees procurement, inventory planning, supplier relationships, contract manufacturing coordination, logistics, and supply chain risk management while ensuring compliance with FDA, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements. This position combines strategic and operational leadership and serves as a key cross-functional partner to Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Operations, Clinical Affairs, Finance, and external suppliers. The Senior Manager will help build scalable supply chain processes, develop team capabilities, and provide strategic recommendations that support product development, commercialization, and ongoing manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field required.
Minimum 10-12 years of progressive supply chain, procurement, operations, or manufacturing experience.
Minimum 4-6 years of people leadership experience required.
Experience within the medical device, life sciences, biotechnology, or regulated healthcare industry required.
Experience supporting product development through commercialization required.
Experience managing contract manufacturers and global suppliers required.
Strong knowledge of medical device supply chain and manufacturing processes.
Proven leadership capability with experience developing and mentoring high-performing teams.
Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into actionable supply chain initiatives.
Strong understanding of FDA regulations, ISO 13485, supplier controls, and quality systems.
Expertise in procurement, inventory management, demand planning, forecasting, and logistics.
Strong supplier management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and supply chain analytics tools.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Strong analytical, business, and financial acumen.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced startup or growth-stage environment.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive execution across the organization.

Nice To Haves

MBA or advanced degree preferred.
APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute supply chain strategies that support company growth, product launches, and operational objectives.
Establish and continuously improve supply planning, inventory management, forecasting, and procurement processes.
Monitor key supply chain performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities where applicable.
Identify opportunities to improve supply chain performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
Provide recommendations to senior leadership regarding supply chain strategy, risks, and opportunities.
Source, qualify, and manage suppliers, contract manufacturers, and service providers.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, quality agreements, and supply agreements.
Establish and maintain strategic supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and operational excellence.
Evaluate supplier performance through quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, and risk-management metrics.
Conduct supplier business reviews and support supplier audits in partnership with Quality Assurance.
Drive supplier development and performance improvement initiatives.
Manage inventory levels to balance supply continuity with cost efficiency.
Develop inventory policies for raw materials, components, and finished goods.
Monitor inventory accuracy and implement controls to reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
Coordinate material planning activities to support production schedules, clinical activities, and commercialization efforts.
Manage purchase orders, production forecasts, and demand planning activities.
Support new product introductions by ensuring supplier readiness, material availability, and production capacity.
Oversee domestic and international shipping, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Ensure timely and compliant movement of products and materials.
Develop and maintain contingency plans to mitigate transportation and logistics disruptions.
Monitor freight costs and implement strategies to optimize distribution performance and efficiency.
Ensure supply chain activities comply with FDA Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO 13485, and applicable international regulatory requirements.
Partner with Quality Assurance on supplier qualification, audits, corrective actions, and quality agreements.
Maintain documentation required for supplier management and regulatory inspections.
Support internal, external, customer, and regulatory audits as required.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including supplier concentration, material shortages, and geopolitical or market disruptions.
Develop and maintain business continuity and supplier contingency plans.
Monitor market conditions and proactively address emerging supply chain risks.
Establish risk-monitoring tools and reporting mechanisms.
Lead, mentor, and develop supply chain personnel while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Support workforce planning, hiring, onboarding, and performance management activities.
Develop scalable processes and organizational capabilities to support company growth.
Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members.
Partner with Finance to support budgeting, cost reduction initiatives, inventory reporting, and financial planning activities.
Collaborate with Engineering and Product Development to support design transfer, supplier selection, and commercialization activities.
Work closely with Operations and Clinical teams to ensure supply chain readiness for production and clinical programs.
Present supply chain performance, risks, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
