The Senior Manager, Security Operations leads Brightstar Lottery’s physical security function day to day, owning the total operational management of the organization — people, resources, budget, vendors, standards, and service delivery — across a large, distributed estate of facilities in multiple U.S. states and international locations. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Workplace Services, the role drives operations, audit and regulatory compliance including Multi State Lottery Association (MUSL), gaming regulators, and customer service level agreements (SLAs), governs the Master Service Agreement (MSA) integrators who deploy and maintain security systems, owns the physical-security response to customer bids, champions innovation and data/AI to keep security technology ahead of the field, and partners with senior leadership as the physical-security subject-matter expert. The Security Systems Engineer leads technical systems design as a peer within the function.

Requirements

8 -10 years of progressive physical-security management, including direct multi-site supervision.
Proven collaboration, communication, and influencing, with the ability to turn complex or technical information into clear narrative for senior leadership.
Experience managing operating budgets, vendor contracts, and compliance/audit in regulated environments.
Strong executive presence for customer-facing and leadership settings.
Microsoft 365 proficiency (SharePoint, Teams, Excel).
Valid driver’s license, ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally, and ability to obtain required gaming-suitability approvals.

Nice To Haves

Lottery, gaming, or other regulated-industry experience.
Experience leading physical-security content for RFP/RFI bid responses.
Familiarity with data analytics, dashboards, and emerging technologies (AI and automation) in security operations.
Functional (non-design) familiarity with physical-security systems and Master Service Agreement (MSA)/integrator governance.
Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business, Human Resources, or related field; ASIS certification (CPP, PSP, or PCI) a plus.

Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end operational management of the security organization — people, staffing, resources, standards, and service delivery — across all facilities, leading the Security Supervisor team and, indirectly, their officer teams.
Serve as senior escalation for incidents and site emergencies; manage guard-force coverage, post orders, performance, and a high-standard security culture, with regular site visits.
Design and run the audit program (including a recurring access-control cycle), keeping the portfolio audit-ready and compliant with Multi State Lottery Association (MUSL), state lottery/gaming regulators, customer contract SLAs, and life-safety standards.
Own security policies, SOPs, and post orders, and report compliance metrics, findings, and remediation to the Senior Director.
Manage and oversee the Multi State Lottery Association (MSA) security integrators who deploy and maintain physical-security assets — CCTV and video surveillance, video recorders, access control and door/card readers, intrusion/alarm, and related infrastructure — governing SLAs, KPIs, and asset registers.
Coordinate integrator rollouts with field operations, and manage guarding, monitoring, and vendor contracts, negotiating service levels and renewals.
Own the physical-security response to customer RFPs and RFIs, partnering with bid managers and bid writers on narrative and gathering technical input from the Security Systems Engineer.
Ensure bid content is accurate, compliant, and operationally deliverable, and maintain a reusable library of security response content.
Champion innovation to keep Brightstar Lottery’s security technology ahead of the field, piloting emerging tools including artificial intelligence and automation.
Drive data analytics into operations and build leadership-facing dashboards that make performance and risk visible.
Partner with the Security Systems Engineer, who owns technical design, to represent operational and customer requirements and bridge projects into the field. Design expertise is not required.
Build systems literacy over time through a standing bi-weekly cadence and defined 6- and 12-month milestones.
Own the physical-security operating budget — forecasting, actuals, variance, and reporting — approving spend within delegated authority and driving cost optimization.
Partner with the Engineer on capital planning, RFPs, and contract renewals, with business cases as needed.
Partner with the Senior Director on reporting and presentations to leadership, translating complex information into clear, decision-ready narrative, and represent security in cross-functional forums.
Lead operational incident response and maintain incident-command readiness; coordinate investigations with proper evidence handling and escalation to Legal and HR.
Contribute security input to business-continuity and crisis-management planning, including drills, tabletop exercises, and lessons learned.
Stay current on security trends, technologies, and regulation, translating them into practical operational improvements.
