About The Position

This role provides strategic and operational leadership for supply chain technology solutions supporting delivery, transportation, and logistics operations across DePuy Synthes. The Senior Manager ensures that technology platforms enable reliable product flow, on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and scalability across a global supply network. This position plays a critical role in modernizing logistics capabilities, strengthening system integration, and supporting business growth through data-driven, resilient supply chain solutions and reports into the DePuy Synthes Technology organization. Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopedics business to establish a standalone orthopedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of experience in supply chain technology, logistics systems, or enterprise applications, including leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting transportation, delivery, or logistics processes within complex, global supply chains.
  • Proven people-management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain operations, system integrations, and data governance.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and multi-year technology initiatives.
  • English language proficiency.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree (MBA or related) preferred.
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), logistics platforms, or ERP-enabled supply chain solutions.
  • Experience leading digital transformation or large-scale system implementations.
  • Familiarity with global logistics, trade compliance, and regional transportation requirements.
  • Experience working in regulated or highly controlled environments.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-influencing skills.
  • Supply chain, logistics, or project management certifications (e.g., PMP, APICS/ASCM) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategy, delivery, and lifecycle management of supply chain technology solutions supporting deliver, transportation, and logistics operations.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technology roadmaps.
  • Oversee system enhancements, integrations, and upgrades to improve transportation visibility, execution, and performance.
  • Lead the application of AI, advanced analytics, and automation to modernize supply chain platforms, improving demand forecasting, planning accuracy, and end-to-end decision-making while driving efficient and resilient supply chain operations at scale.
  • Ensure technology solutions support service, cost, compliance, and risk management objectives across global operations.
  • Lead and develop a team of supply chain technology professionals, fostering accountability, capability growth, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage external vendors and system integrators, including performance oversight, budget management, and contract governance.
  • Drive standardization and optimization of logistics and transportation processes enabled by technology.
  • Monitor system performance and operational metrics, proactively identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
