About The Position

As a Sr. Manager for ESS System QA, you will lead and oversee quality operations to ensure alignment with engineering requirements, production standards, and customer expectations. This role is responsible for driving quality performance, supporting product launches, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s (MBA or MS) preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
  • 10–15+ years of experience in Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, or Engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • 7–10+ years of leadership experience managing multiple teams, departments, or global functions
  • Experience in a large-scale global manufacturing environment; automotive or battery/energy industry preferred
  • Strong leadership and organizational agility with a results-driven mindset
  • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement through data and performance metrics
  • Effective team leadership, development, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
  • APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans
  • Root cause analysis (8D, 5 Why)
  • Statistical analysis and process capability (Cp, Cpk)
  • Inspection methods, equipment, and quality systems
  • Manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerating (GD&T)
  • Ability to work flexible hours to support production schedules
  • Ability to collaborate with headquarters and global sites across time zones

Responsibilities

  • Lead quality teams to achieve KPI targets and drive continuous improvement initiatives across internal and external operations
  • Ensure all products meet engineering specifications and customer requirements in a safe and timely manner
  • Drive Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and support successful product and system launches
  • Establish, communicate, and ensure execution of quality requirements related to control systems and manufacturing processes
  • Utilize data-driven analysis to perform root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions
  • Improve process capability on critical characteristics using statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Partner with cross-functional leadership to proactively address and resolve launch and ongoing quality issues
  • Foster a high-performance culture that encourages accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen organizational capability
  • Lead and ensure execution of Layered Process Audits (LPA) across applicable areas
  • Maintain cleanliness at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards: Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Perform other duties as assigned
