About The Position

The Sr. Manager - Project Engineering is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, or with successful attainment of objectives. This role involves completing specific project phases such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, technical plans, and product testing. The position requires coordinating activities related to technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems, while controlling expenditures within the project budget. The role also includes preparing interim and completion project reports, providing functional and technical support to factories to minimize production and maintenance issues, and applying engineering expertise to equipment design, problem-solving, and quality improvement. Additionally, the Sr. Manager will support PRC and key support projects as a technical advisor or project manager, adhering to Total Quality Management (TQM) principles to ensure tasks are done correctly the first time and customer requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited engineering school or related field is required
  • 5-7 years of experience of full cycle project management experience
  • Strong background in mechanical and hydraulic systems, packaging methods, and materials, electronics and computer applications, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to work to flexible schedule including days, afternoons, midnights, and overtime as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to Direct/Lead/Manage cross functional teams on large capital project/programs of $20MM or more.
  • Traveling 75%

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering expertise to equipment design, problems solving, and quality improvement.
  • Support PRC and key support projects as technical advisor or project manager.
  • Use the principles of TQM “To do the job right the first time”
  • Establish requirements and process maps necessary to meet customer requirements and ensure all things are done right the first time.
