Supermicro IT team is seeking a results-driven Sr. Manager, Data Center Development to lead strategic initiatives across our global data center business infrastructure portfolio. This leader will oversee critical programs including data center sourcing, facility deployment, and infrastructure modernization spanning both liquid-cooled and air-cooled environments optimized for AI workloads . The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of GPU-driven data center trends (NVIDIA, AMD, Intel) , power and thermal design, and mechanical/electrical infrastructure. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional engineering, operations, and vendor teams to enable next-generation capacity at scale.

Requirements

12+ years of experience in data center program management, infrastructure, or data center development
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (MBA or MS a plus)
Proven success managing large-scale, cross-disciplinary data center or colocation projects
Strong knowledge of high-performance computing (HPC), GPU trends, and AI workload infrastructure needs
Expertise in mechanical, electrical, and power infrastructure systems (M&E, PDUs, DLC, UPS, etc.)
Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills

Nice To Haves

PMP, PgMP, or related program management certifications (preferred)
Hands-on engagement with emerging technologies in AI, machine learning, and high-density compute platforms

Responsibilities

Program Leadership: Drive end-to-end execution of strategic Data Center infrastructure initiatives, including new builds, retrofits, and DLC POC & EBC showcase projects.
Data Center Solution Development: Collaborate with customers to understand data center requirements and develop comprehensive data center solutions, Design and architect data center infrastructure to meet scalability, availability, and performance requirements, ensure data center designs align with industry best practices and compliance standards
Data Center Sourcing & Partnerships: Lead sourcing strategies, site evaluations, and hosting partnership development with global service providers.
Technical Infrastructure Execution: Oversee buildouts of high-density GPU-capable data centers (air and liquid-cooled), with focus on scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, facilities, and operations teams to deliver projects aligned with business goals and SLA targets.
Power & Mechanical Systems: Manage programs involving PDUs, UPS systems, backup power solutions, and mechanical cooling to meet demanding workload requirements.
Executive Reporting: Provide structured updates on program milestones, risks, mitigations, and ROI metrics to senior leadership including business value proposition updates.
Customer Facing: Ability to translate customer needs into technical requirements
On-boarding of Customers: Implementation of technical solution to on-board customer to product offerings
Infrastructure Optimization: Monitor and evaluate the performance and efficiency of data center systems, recommend and implement improvements to optimize infrastructure, enhance energy efficiency, and reduce operational costs
