About The Position

Delek US Holdings is a boutique-sized diversified downstream energy company with a range of assets, including petroleum refining and logistics. Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day. Our logistics business currently owns and operates 720 miles of crude and product pipelines, a 600-mile crude oil gathering system, and storage tanks and terminals. This role assists engineers and scientists with a variety of laboratory tasks, performing chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific tests using both routine and special techniques in compliance with all safety and infection control standards. The position involves collecting, analyzing, and processing laboratory samples, recording results, organizing data, performing basic computations, and preparing reports and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines. It also includes installing, operating, maintaining, and repairing laboratory test equipment, apparatus, systems, and supplies.

Requirements

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical direction and leadership to laboratory work group
  • Ensures work products are technically sound in accordance with corporate and industry standards
  • Improves effectiveness and productivity through evaluation, development and implementation of laboratory practices and analytical techniques
  • Provides accurate and timely laboratory analysis to support refinery optimization decisions
  • Manages quality assurance program
  • Performs chemical and/or physical analyses or scientific tests using both routine and special techniques in compliance with all safety and infection control standards.
  • Collects, analyzes and processes laboratory samples.
  • Records results of tests, organizes data, performs basic computations, and prepares reports and analyses using standard procedures and guidelines.
