About The Position

As a Senior Manager, Procurement Specialists at MKS Inc, you will partner with global business units (BUs), Supply Chain, Operations, and cross-functional teams to lead, align, and elevate procurement activities worldwide. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Director, Global Procurement You Will Make an Impact By: Leading and mentoring a global team of Procurement Specialists across multiple manufacturing sites and regions. Driving business unit collaboration by facilitating regular cross-functional meetings to address shortages, demand changes, and inventory health. Implementing strategic procurement alignment with company objectives and materials plans, translating high-level goals into actionable plans for the team. Overseeing supply continuity and risk mitigation, proactively identifying supply risks and guiding contingency planning. Championing process improvement and standardization, working with stakeholders to automate and enhance procurement processes. Guiding supplier development and performance management, ensuring compliance and driving vendor improvement programs. Monitoring and reporting key procurement metrics to senior management, providing data-driven recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • 8+ years of job-related work experience in procurement or supply chain management, including leadership of procurement teams or projects.
  • Experience managing procurement for manufacturing operations and driving cost reduction or supplier improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP or Oracle), advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, and familiarity with digital procurement dashboards.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills in a matrix organization.
  • Strategic and analytical skills for supply chain data and KPI analysis.

  • Experience working in a global environment or managing teams across multiple locations.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and drive cross-functional efforts.
  • Familiarity with Procurement Service Center processes.
  • Experience with supplier development programs (Kanban, VMI/consignment, lead time reduction).
  • Advanced problem-solving skills (e.g., shortage root-cause analysis, process mapping).
