About The Position

The Sr. Manager Process Engineering is responsible for leading a hands-on manufacturing engineering organization supporting high-mix, high-volume production operations, with primary responsibility for injection molding, paint, and assembly processes. The successful candidate will work side by side with production, maintenance, quality, tooling, automation, and NPI teams to improve manufacturing performance and process robustness. The position combines technical leadership with people management and is accountable for delivering measurable improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Yield, Efficiency, and manufacturing capacity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in management
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
  • Experience with SPC, Process Capability, DOE, PFMEA, Control Plans, and data-driven problem solving
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues, perform root-cause analysis, and lead cross-functional corrective actions
  • Ability to coach teams and manage multiple complex projects independently
  • Advanced MS Office skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead a manufacturing engineering team responsible for process and equipment design, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and KPI performance across safety, volume, efficiency, cost, yield, and service.
  • Provide technical and strategic leadership, including budget input and execution of Lean initiatives using Process Management, Visual Management, Standard Work, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and root-cause problem solving.
  • Maintain a strong shop-floor presence, providing hands-on leadership for production, process, tooling, equipment, quality, and yield issues while driving sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop engineers through coaching, structured problem solving, and manufacturing fundamentals; establish and maintain Process Capability metrics, SPC Control Plans, and PFMEAs.
  • Lead manufacturing validation for new product releases and partner with Tooling and Maintenance to improve mold/tooling performance, equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, and manufacturing capability.
  • Manage the Tooling Management Program and multiple concurrent engineering projects, ensuring schedule, technical performance, cost, and business results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, NPI, Finance, Production, Maintenance, Assembly, Quality, and Customer teams to resolve complex issues and implement improvements.
  • Coordinate with internal engineering disciplines to ensure integrated designs and complete engineering deliverables.
