Requirements

  • Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Lead a mixed team of Technicians and Engineers
  • Be the subject matter expert for all Machining process at GDOTS Lincoln Operations
  • Manage blanket Purchase Orders for all support tools and equipment
  • Specify CNC equipment needs, machine configurations, and spare parts list/inventory
  • Engage with Operations to solicit feedback
  • Own and regularly update Process Map, FMEA, and Control Plans for all core Machining Operations
  • Lead/Support root cause analysis when machining methods are not in a state of control
  • Work with program teams to develop detailed machining processes, instructions and tooling needed for development and production parts
  • Aid in troubleshooting CNC machine issues and coordinate with repair contractors
  • Manages and develops a team responsible for the optimization, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, or plants.
  • Drives continuous improvement in process design, cost savings, quality, and resource utilization.
  • Utilized process metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
  • Leads engineering projects, incorporates newest technologies, resolves engineering problems, approves process designs.
  • Collaborates with production, quality, and other departments to align engineering solutions with business goals.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership.
