Requirements

Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

Lead a mixed team of Technicians and Engineers
Be the subject matter expert for all Machining process at GDOTS Lincoln Operations
Manage blanket Purchase Orders for all support tools and equipment
Specify CNC equipment needs, machine configurations, and spare parts list/inventory
Engage with Operations to solicit feedback
Own and regularly update Process Map, FMEA, and Control Plans for all core Machining Operations
Lead/Support root cause analysis when machining methods are not in a state of control
Work with program teams to develop detailed machining processes, instructions and tooling needed for development and production parts
Aid in troubleshooting CNC machine issues and coordinate with repair contractors
Manages and develops a team responsible for the optimization, design, and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment, or plants.
Drives continuous improvement in process design, cost savings, quality, and resource utilization.
Utilized process metrics to identify trends and drive improvements.
Leads engineering projects, incorporates newest technologies, resolves engineering problems, approves process designs.
Collaborates with production, quality, and other departments to align engineering solutions with business goals.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership.
