About The Position

The Role General Motors LLC is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Strategic Performance Business Analytics Lead to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize business performance across various initiatives. This role will leverage advanced analytics to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations. What You’ll Do Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytical models and methodologies to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement. Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business challenges and translate them into data-driven solutions. Develop compelling data stories and visualizations to effectively communicate complex analytical findings to diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership. Facilitate group problem-solving sessions, guiding teams to leverage data for root cause analysis and solution generation. Apply strong business acumen to interpret data in the context of GM's strategic objectives and competitive landscape. Champion a customer-focused approach, ensuring analytical insights directly address and enhance the customer experience. Design and implement dashboards and reports that provide timely and relevant insights into strategic performance. Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in business analytics, strategic planning, or a related data-intensive role.
  • Demonstrated strong business acumen with the ability to understand complex business operations and strategic objectives.
  • Expert proficiency in developing and implementing data-driven solutions and statistical methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in data storytelling and presenting complex information clearly and concisely to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience facilitating group problem-solving and driving consensus through data insights.
  • In-depth knowledge and practical application of probabilistic analysis and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Strong customer-focused mindset with a track record of using data to improve customer outcomes.
  • Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).

  • Master's degree preferred.
