About The Position

The Sr. Manager of People Data Science will join our People Analytics team within Employee Experience, and report to the Senior Director of People Analytics. This role will provide strategic and technical leadership for advanced analytics and data science, building models and frameworks that inform strategic people decisions. This role will also own the data science and AI strategy for People Analytics, defining how the team leverages emerging AI/ML capabilities and establishing responsible AI practices. The Sr. Manager will lead a team of data scientists, establish technical standards and methodological rigor across the function, and serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on complex people analytics challenges.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise (PhD, Masters, or equivalent) in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Economics, I/O Psychology, Organizational Behavior, or related discipline)
  • 8+ years of experience applying advanced analytics and data science methods to people data in an applied organizational setting
  • Demonstrated leadership of a technical team, including hiring, developing, and retaining top talent
  • Expert knowledge of advanced statistical methods (e.g., predictive modeling, causal inference, experimentation, HLM, network analysis, NLP/text analytics)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and ability to review and guide others' technical work
  • Proven ability to influence executives and senior leaders through clear, compelling communication of complex insights
  • Track record of establishing methodological standards, quality frameworks, or technical governance in an analytics organization
  • Experience defining AI/ML strategy and responsible AI practices in an organizational context
  • Strong collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Commitment to ethical use of employee data, with deep care for privacy, fairness, and responsible AI practices

Responsibilities

  • Set the technical vision and quality bar for advanced analytics and AI across People Analytics
  • Guide the team's approach to predictive modeling, causal inference, experimentation, and AI/ML applications
  • Establish methodological standards and review protocols for high-stakes analytics work
  • Define the team's data and AI strategy, including responsible AI practices, tooling direction, and capability roadmap
  • Partner with BI & Reporting and Data Engineering leads on metric definitions, data quality requirements, and platform strategy
  • Identify opportunities to scale insights through automation, tooling, and reusable analytical frameworks
  • Drive development of predictive models to forecast workforce outcomes and inform people decisions
  • Oversee complex analytical deep dives that inform strategic choices on talent, culture, and organizational effectiveness
  • Design and evaluate data-driven approaches to improve individual, team, and organizational outcomes
  • Ensure models are ethical, interpretable, and compliant with privacy and legal requirements
  • Define critical data elements, logic, and implementation of key metrics in partnership with BI and Data Engineering
  • Serve as a thought partner to senior EX and business leaders on analytically complex or strategically ambiguous challenges
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to executives in ways that drive action and shape decisions
  • Translate analytical complexity into clear, actionable narratives that answer the "so what?"
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of data scientists
  • Foster a culture of intellectual curiosity, methodological rigor, and practical impact
  • Build team capability in statistical methods, model development, and stakeholder influence
