Sr. Manager of Manufacturing Operations
About The Position
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Manager of Manufacturing Operations to lead and scale manufacturing operations at a facility focused on producing Electrical Balance of System (eBOS) products across multiple verticals, including UL 1741-certified electrical disconnects and harnesses, mechanical/structural products using assembly, metal fabrication, and plastic injection molding processes. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing factory production. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a proven ability to meet production goals while ensuring compliance, safety, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in manufacturing with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in UL-certified harness assembly, metal fabrication, and injection molding.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, CAD/CAM software, and production scheduling tools.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certifications in Six Sigma, PMP, or Lean Manufacturing are a plus.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive production strategy to meet company objectives.
- Lead cross-functional teams across electrical disconnect and harness assembly, metal fabrication, and injection molding.
- Collaborate with engineering, QA, procurement, and design to align production with project timelines.
- Ensure harness assemblies meet UL 1741 requirements and regulatory standards.
- Oversee testing protocols, documentation, and traceability of components.
- Manage the full production cycle of structural and sheet metal parts (cutting, bending, welding, finishing).
- Oversee injection molding operations including tool maintenance, process optimization, and material usage.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Monitor KPIs including OEE, cycle time, downtime, scrap rate, and labor productivity.
- Drive automation and process improvements to reduce cost and increase output.
- Recruit, train, and mentor production supervisors and line staff.
- Foster a safety-first culture and ensure OSHA compliance.
- Manage labor planning, shift schedules, and performance reviews.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, UL, and other relevant regulatory standards.
- Work closely with Quality Assurance to reduce defects and support audits.
- Develop and manage production budgets and forecasts.
- Recommend and oversee capital equipment investments and upgrades.
