About The Position

Our client is seeking a visionary, growth-minded leader for the role of Sr. Manager, Network Architecture. Operating on-site five days a week, in-person collaboration and innovation, you will directly oversee, mentor, and inspire a broad team of over 20 network experts. In this high-visibility leadership role, you will report straight to the Director of Infrastructure & Operations and be uniquely poised as a successor for this Director-level position. You will champion the vitality and evolution of our multi-service data network, driving global technology decisions that accelerate business innovation and cloud-native automation. Requirements

Bachelors degree
10+ years experience with Enterprise Network Architecture, Design, and Security: LAN, WAN, Wireless, DCs, Firewalls, IPSec VPNs, and network segmentation
Deep expertise with Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switches, BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, Spanning Tree, and related platforms (CCNP Preferred)
Cloud Networking (AWS + GCP): Supporting multi-region, multi-cloud architectures, and cloud-native networking services
Network Leadership & Team Management: Act as subject matter expert and drive accountability, technical excellence, operations, and vendor management.
Bachelors degree
10+years experience as a Network/Cloud/Infrastructure Architect

AWS Certified (Solutions Architect or Advanced Networking)
Google Cloud Professional Cloud Network Engineer Certification
Cisco CCNP
ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies is a plus

Experience designing and implementing connectivity and troubleshooting within AWS and/or GCP cloud platforms. This includes an understanding of the cloud provider platforms, and their native networking services/tools
Experience with Cisco equipment and operating systems, including configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and support of routers and switches
Experience conducting short- and long-term planning to meet network requirements
LAN and WAN protocols and topologies (EIGRP, BGP, MPLS)
Experience with switching technologies (VLANs, Spanning-Tree, VSS)
Experience in security technologies including Palo Alto firewalls, VPN and Remote Access
AWS Solutions Architect, AWS Advanced Networking, Google Cloud Network Engineer, or Cisco CCNP/CCNA certifications.
SD-WAN architecture and deployment experience.
Manufacturing network segmentation experience.
Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds.
ITIL Foundation certification or strong IT service management/process experience.
Experience managing third-party vendors and managed service providers.

Responsibilities

Lead & Inspire: Directly oversee, mentor, and empower a broad team of 20 network experts, cultivating a culture of technical excellence, accountability, and continuous growth.
Architect Global Connectivity: Plan and architect enterprise-scale LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Data Center deployments. You will spearhead the integration of core network services, including L2/L3 switching, BGP and EIGRP routing, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Load Balancing, IPAM, DNS/DHCP, Firewalls, IPSec VPN, and SD-WAN.
Innovate in the Cloud: Champion the design, implementation, and maintenance of our multi-region, multi-cloud (AWS/GCP) network environment, seamlessly supporting our IaaS VPCs and accelerating our cloud-native (PaaS) capabilities.
Fortify Network Security: Lead and participate in high-impact network security initiatives, including driving critical manufacturing segmentation deployments to secure our global footprint.
Master Operational Excellence: Serve as the ultimate escalation point, providing expert trouble resolution for critical, high-priority core network issues. Ensure after hours support coverage to sustain network service levels which include complex technical changes to support projects and or operations deployments (24/7). Proactively identify essential network maintenance tasks and build the structured processes needed to implement them flawlessly. Evaluate, manage, and evolve our core network monitoring and diagnostic tools, ensuring our NOC has the deep visibility and mature workflows required to proactively support our global network.
