Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of merchandising experience, preferably within contemporary fashion, accessories, jewelry, luxury, or lifestyle brands.
  • Demonstrated success owning and growing a product category.
  • Strong understanding of retail math & assortment planning.
  • Proven ability to translate trend insights into commercially successful product strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Experience partnering with Design, Product Development, Planning, and Marketing
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Passion for fashion, accessories, consumer trends, and the Kate Spade brand.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office: Excel & PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Own the Jewelry category strategy across channels, developing seasonal and long-term plans to drive revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Identify growth opportunities across core, gifting, fashion, and trend-driven businesses through customer insights, competitive analysis, and market trends.
  • Conduct regular business analysis and recommend strategies & actions to improve category performance.
  • Lead assortment creation and seasonal line planning, ensuring a balanced offering of core programs, newness, and trend-right product to attract a new and young consumer.
  • Analyze global sales, feedback, consumer insights, market trends & data to aid in the development process
  • Partner with Design and Product Development from concept through launch to deliver commercially successful collections that are in line with our margin targets.
  • Establish assortment architecture & pricing strategies across all channels
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Visual Merchandising, Retail, and Ecommerce teams to create compelling product stories and customer experiences.
  • Serve as the category expert, influencing cross-functional and regional partners through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead development milestone meetings and category presentations
  • Calendar partnering with cross functional teams & managing adherence to deadlines
  • Lead, coach, and develop a direct report while fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
