About The Position

The Sr. Manager, Strategy & Execution is responsible for establishing, continuously improving and operating the governance model for large customer programs across the Large Program Leadership (LPL) organization. This role drives the Large Program Control Tower, providing centralized visibility, standardized operating cadence, risk escalation discipline, and executive decision support to improve predictability across priority programs. The position serves as the governance lead and connective operating system between Sales, Program Management, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Services, Finance, and Executive Leadership. The role ensures program priorities are aligned, decision forums are effective, risks are surfaced early, actions are owned and closed, and leadership has a clear view of program health, customer impact, and required interventions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Analytics, or related field required.
5+ years of experience in program governance, PMO, control tower operations, large program execution, operations leadership, supply chain, or manufacturing program management within a complex business environment.
Experience building or operating governance models, control towers, executive operating cadences, program health scorecards, risk registers, action trackers, decision logs, and escalation processes.
Strong proficiency with ERP systems, reporting tools, and data analytics platforms, including Oracle and Power BI or equivalent tools, to support program health visibility, governance insights, and executive decision-making.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional accountability, influence outcomes without direct authority, and drive actions to closure across Sales, Program Management, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Services, Finance, and Commercial teams.
Strong understanding of risk, issue, escalation, and decision-management practices in complex program environments.
Ability to synthesize complex operational, financial, customer, and supply-chain inputs into clear executive narratives, recommendations, decision points, and next steps.
Strong analytical, organizational, facilitation, and communication skills with attention to accuracy, follow-through, and executive-ready deliverables.

Nice To Haves

MBA degree preferred.
Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, PgMP, APICS/CPIM, or other relevant program management, operations, or continuous-improvement certification preferred.
Experience supporting large customer programs, strategic accounts, portfolio governance, or executive-level program reviews in a complex manufacturing or technology environment.
Experience working across multi-site manufacturing, global supply chains, engineering, quality, services, logistics, and commercial organizations.
Strong understanding of SIOP / IBP, demand planning, supply planning, material readiness, and factory execution processes and how they impact program risk and customer commitments.
Experience designing or improving executive dashboards, program health scorecards, readiness reviews, risk heatmaps, and Control Tower reporting tools.
Experience facilitating executive reviews, customer-impact reviews, escalation forums, or cross-functional recovery planning sessions.
Prior experience in a PMO, transformation office, Control Tower, portfolio management, or large-program governance function.

Responsibilities

Own and operate the Large Program Control Tower across priority customer programs, ensuring consistent visibility into schedule, material readiness, engineering, quality, manufacturing, services, logistics, revenue risk, and customer commitments.
Define and manage the governance cadence for large programs, including weekly operating reviews, cross-functional risk reviews, executive reviews, action reviews, and escalation forums.
Translate executive priorities into structured governance plans with clear milestones, decision points, owners, due dates, escalation paths, and measurable outcomes.
Maintain the single source of truth for large-program health, including status dashboards, milestone readiness, risk registers, issue logs, decision logs, action trackers, and leadership escalation summaries.
Drive early identification, prioritization, and escalation of cross-functional risks and issues that could impact customer commitments, factory execution, shipment readiness, quality, revenue recognition, or program delivery.
Establish cross-functional operating metronomes with MDM, Planning, Materials, SIOP, Engineering, Manufacturing, Services, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure consistent data visibility, issue escalation, and action closure.
Prepare executive-ready governance materials that convert complex program inputs into concise narratives, risk heatmaps, decision recommendations, customer-impact summaries, and leadership action plans.
Standardize large-program governance practices, including reporting templates, readiness checkpoints, escalation criteria, sponsorship models, action tracking, decision management, and program review discipline.
Institutionalize lessons learned across large programs to reduce repeat execution breakdowns and strengthen organizational standard work across demand management, supply readiness, Vertiv Operating System behaviors, and factory governance.
Develop, deploy, and continuously improve Control Tower tools and dashboards that enable real-time visibility into order changes, demand and supply signals, schedule adherence, material constraints, shipment readiness, and open actions.
Lead special projects and process improvement initiatives that strengthen governance maturity, improve executive visibility, accelerate decision-making, and improve predictable delivery of large customer programs.
Perform other governance, Control Tower, and strategic execution duties as assigned by Large Program Leadership AMER.
