About The Position

The Operational Excellence Leader drives IT performance, governance, and transparency—ensuring technology initiatives align to business goals. This role builds metrics, reporting, and governance frameworks while partnering with Strategic Sourcing to manage vendor performance and maximize value.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in IT operational performance management, IT governance, or related roles.
  • Strong background in IT metrics, performance reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and implementing IT governance frameworks, policies, and compliance programs.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using dashboards and metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Superb communication and collaborator management skills, with the ability to develop a culture of accountability and performance measurement within IT.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and leading sophisticated IT contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that provide clarity into IT’s execution performance and operational health. Leverage insights to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner with IT leadership to define IT objectives and key results (goals and milestones), ensuring alignment with enterprise and business goals. Map IT goals and initiatives to strategic and operational objectives, providing visibility into progress and value realization. Champion a culture of accountability and performance measurement within IT.
  • Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure effective and efficient IT operations. Implement standardized tools and processes to support IT governance objectives and ensure alignment with business and regulatory requirements. Perform governance assurance efforts to ensure alignment to consistent and effective standards, partnering with collaborators to address gaps. Drive process improvements and efficiencies across IT governance areas, aligning the operating model with evolving business needs and industry standards.
  • Establish and manage vendor governance structures to ensure effective partnerships and oversee vendor performance, risk assessments, and contract alignment. Collaborate with procurement and IT leaders to optimize vendor relationships and define key performance indicators (critical metrics) to measure vendor effectiveness. Ensure vendors meet service level agreements (SLAs) and contractual obligations, driving continuous improvement in vendor performance and value delivery.
