The position partners closely with Channel Marketing, Business Development, Product Marketing, Events, GTM Systems, and commercial leadership to coordinate outreach and create a consistent approach for priority accounts. This is a hybrid role with a high-collaboration rhythm, requiring three days per week in Pelago’s New York City office. The role also uses AI to extend account research, personalization, and follow-up, and tracks account engagement, progression, and conversion using attribution and reporting maintained by GTM Systems.

Requirements

  • A record of opening and advancing conversations in long, multi-stakeholder sales.
  • Hands-on experience with contact-based and account-based advertising platforms, paid media, and web analytics.
  • Experience coordinating with channel or partner marketing teams in shared accounts.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and HubSpot, including the ability to build reports independently.
  • Ability to lead peers and sellers without direct authority, set a working rhythm, maintain plans, and hold people accountable.
  • Hands-on use of AI tools in personal work and curiosity about additional applications.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to HR, benefits, or healthcare buyers is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Run regular account reviews with Business Development and Sales to review account progress, next steps, and ownership.
  • Align employer programs with Channel Marketing plans and partner programs so shared accounts receive a coordinated story from multiple directions.
  • Work with Product Marketing to bring Pelago’s value story and proof into every stage of the conversation, including the business case for finance leaders.
  • Build account programs around events in partnership with the Events team, including audience selection, meeting generation, and follow-up ownership.
  • Own the commercial marketing calendar so launches, events, content, and paid programs work together.
  • Own Pelago’s contact-based advertising platform, including audience strategy, buying-group targeting, creative testing, and budget.
  • Own paid media strategy and spend across channels.
  • Own website priorities and analytics for buyer conversion, working with agency and web partners.
  • Report on account engagement, progression, and conversion using attribution and reporting maintained by GTM Systems.
  • Work with GTM Systems to apply AI to account research, personalization, and follow-up.
  • Use intent, engagement, and relationship signals to determine where to focus effort.
  • Deliver a prioritized employer account list and a live program for each tier during the first year.
  • Establish a working rhythm with Business Development and Channel Marketing, operate contact-based advertising and paid programs against priority accounts with clear reporting, and improve how priority accounts progress and convert.
