About The Position

Lennox, driven by 130 years of HVAC and refrigeration success, provides industry-leading climate-control solutions. AES, a division of Lennox established in 1988, is a leading manufacturer of roof curbs and drop box diffuser systems, and has expanded to include a Mechanical Services Division and a Misc. Steel manufacturer. AES aims to reduce construction costs and improve coordination by offering single-source supply. The company has four fabrication facilities nationwide to serve customers and reduce freight costs and shipment lead times. This role directs the internal sales team responsible for customer quotes, inquiries, and problem resolution via email and phone, developing and monitoring quoting procedures, and ensuring responsive customer service through established administrative and technical procedures. The position is responsible for developing internal sales policies, rates, schedules, procedures, and methods, ensuring work volume meets product/service standards and exceeds quality standards, and achieving departmental operating costs, sales, and profit goals. The role also involves approving personnel activities such as hiring, training, development, and performance evaluation, and managing the team's order-processing activities.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree.
  • Requires at least 8 years related experience.
  • Requires at least 3 years’ experience as a manager.
  • Must be able to train, evaluate, and direct the work of assigned employees.
  • Requires ability to establish policies and manage business and operational aspects of inside sales.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including effective listening skills.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of the organization, products, and services.
  • May require advanced problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as escalation point for customer quoting, inquiries, issues, and complex requests to ensure timely resolution
  • Oversee and guide team handling of quoting, customer inquiries, order processing, and product information to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Ensure proper review and understanding of customer-provided drawings and specifications across the team
  • Manage and monitor the end-to-end lifecycle of customer requests from inquiry through production and delivery
  • Oversee handling of order modifications, cancellations, and returns to ensure efficiency and accuracy
  • Ensure consistent and disciplined quote follow-up processes, including reporting, status tracking, and coordination with third-party vendors
  • Drive coordination and alignment across internal departments (sales, operations, logistics, finance) to improve efficiency and customer experience
  • Ensure customer data and records are accurately maintained within CRM systems
  • Establish expectations and accountability for accurate tracking of customer interactions and account activity in CRM tools
  • Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance overall customer experience
