Position Summary The Senior Manager, Informatics (Individual Contributor) serves as a senior analytic and informatics specialist focused on transforming complex healthcare data into actionable insights that inform strategic, operational, and quality decisions. This role operates as a high-autonomy, hands-on analyst and internal consultant, responsible for designing analytic solutions, developing executive-ready dashboards and reports, and translating data into compelling data stories for senior leadership. The position partners closely with clinical, quality, medical economics, and business leaders to improve healthcare outcomes, performance transparency, and data-driven decision-making. This role does not include direct people management responsibilities.

Requirements

  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare analytics, informatics, or related analytical roles.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including experience working with large, complex relational datasets.
  • Demonstrated expertise in business intelligence and data visualization platforms, particularly Tableau; experience with Power BI or similar tools is a plus.
  • Proven ability to independently design and deliver end-to-end analytic solutions, from data extraction through executive-level communication.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear, compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
  • Highly developed collaboration and consulting skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
  • Strong execution and delivery focus, including managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in healthcare quality management, value-based care, or performance measurement.
  • Experience working with HEDIS measures, Stars, or other regulatory and quality reporting frameworks.
  • Familiarity with healthcare claims, clinical, and member-level data.
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and presentations for senior leadership audiences.
  • Master’s degree in Informatics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Public Health, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior individual contributor providing analytic and informatics leadership across healthcare quality, performance, and value-based initiatives.
  • Translate complex business and clinical questions into well-defined analytic approaches, data models, and reporting specifications.
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze large and complex datasets using SQL and relational database technologies.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and other business intelligence platforms, ensuring scalability, accuracy, and usability.
  • Create executive-ready deliverables, including PowerPoint presentations, that clearly communicate insights, trends, risks, and opportunities to diverse stakeholder audiences.
  • Act as a data storyteller—connecting analytic output to business context, decision points, and recommended actions.
  • Establish and apply data quality standards, governance practices, and documentation to ensure analytic assets are accurate, auditable, and reproducible.
  • Independently execute complex analyses, validation efforts, and ad hoc reporting to meet time-sensitive project needs.
  • Partner with data engineering, technology, and vendor teams to support data integration, migration, and system enhancement efforts.
  • Consult with internal stakeholders on the development of performance metrics, KPIs, and analytic frameworks.
  • Mentor and provide informal guidance to analysts on analytic methods, visualization best practices, and effective stakeholder communication.
  • Stay current with advancements in healthcare informatics, analytics, data visualization, and emerging technologies, and apply best practices where appropriate.
