About The Position

The Senior Manager, IFM Program Lead (Sanford) provides strategic and operational leadership for the site’s Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) delivery model. This role is accountable for building a high‑trust, performance‑driven partnership with the local IFM provider to deliver safe, compliant, reliable, and cost‑effective services that enable uninterrupted site operations and full program value realization. The role leads local IFM governance, contract performance management, and continuous improvement; ensures alignment with site priorities and enterprise IFM standards; and serves as the primary interface between the site, the IFM partner, and enabling functions (e.g., Procurement, Finance, HR, IT).

Requirements

  • BA/BS with 6+ years of experience or MBA/MS with 5+ years of experience or PhD/JD with 1+ year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in facilities management, engineering/maintenance/utilities operations, or similar site operations leadership in a GMP, regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong supplier/contract management capability with experience operating within an outcomes‑based service model.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills; ability to engage in candid, crucial conversations and drive alignment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and ongoing work activities of moderate complexity
  • Good oral and written communications
  • Permanent work authorization in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Drive outcome‑based delivery and ensure the IFM model achieves intended benefits for the site and Pfizer.
  • Build and maintain an open, candid, mutually beneficial relationship with the IFM provider; enable strong performance through clear expectations, governance, and issue resolution.
  • Execute the site IFM governance model, monitor KPIs/metrics, and ensure issues are managed at the right level with appropriate escalation.
  • Manage scope of work (SOW), baselines, above‑baseline spend, and change control to ensure transparency, predictability, and value.
  • Ensure services support safety, quality, compliance, reliability, and business continuity; drive robust root cause and corrective actions when service failures occur.
  • Lead the local IFM partnership and performance.
  • Establish and maintain strategic, collaborative working relationships with the IFM provider; set clear expectations and reinforce outcomes‑based delivery.
  • Verify supplier performance, address deficiencies, and recognize positive behaviors that prevent work stoppages and business interruptions.
  • Execute IFM governance, KPI management, and issue escalation.
  • Run the site governance cadence (e.g., operational reviews, KPI reviews, escalation pathways) and ensure structured problem resolution, decision‑making and proactive approaches.
  • Monitor and report key metrics; identify trends and risks; ensure issues are addressed at the appropriate level with the correct escalation.
  • Own SOW, change control, and financial management for IFM services.
  • Manage SOW, baseline and above‑baseline costs; facilitate scope and budgeting changes; improve cost transparency and forecast accuracy.
  • Support annual planning and periodic reviews to identify opportunities to optimize, expand, or evolve IFM services.
  • Drive structured root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Lead or facilitate RCCA/lessons learned/after‑action reviews when performance deviates or service disruptions occur; track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Partner with the vendor and site teams to develop and execute improvement initiatives, leveraging benchmarks and best practices.
  • Ensure integration with site functions and enterprise requirements.
  • Facilitate integration of IFM services into site/enterprise systems and processes (EHS, Quality, Training, IT, Finance, HR, etc.) to ensure compliant and efficient operations.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with site leadership, the enterprise IFM program team, and peer sites to share best practices and sustain standardization.
  • Support transitions, evolution, and deployment activities (as needed).
  • Act as an ambassador for the IFM program and support transition planning, deployment readiness, and site change management activities where applicable.
