About The Position

This role is not a policy messenger—it is a strategic HR advisor and operator responsible for helping leaders navigate people challenges, strengthen team effectiveness, and make sound, business-aligned decisions. You will partner directly with corporate leaders across employee relations, performance management, organizational effectiveness, workforce planning, and talent strategy of our Marketing and Central Merchandising and Sourcing organizations. From coaching leaders through complex situations to identifying proactive people solutions, you own both strategy and execution—ensuring HR support is clear, timely, and practical. This role requires strong business acumen, sound judgment, employee relations depth, and the ability to influence leaders with credibility and care.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with direct experience in an HR Business Partner, Employee Relations, or broad-based HR capacity
  • Proven ability to coach and influence leaders across employee relations, performance, and organizational matters
  • Strong understanding of employment practices and applicable federal, state, and local labor laws
  • Experience supporting field, retail, multi-unit, or matrixed business environments preferred
  • Experience using HR systems of record, case management tools, and Microsoft Office applications; Workday and Salesforce experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to field and/or corporate leaders on people priorities and organizational needs
  • Translate business goals into practical people strategies and HR solutions
  • Assess trends and identify opportunities to support engagement, retention, and performance
  • Advise leaders through employee relations concerns, performance conversations, corrective action, and workplace investigations as appropriate
  • Provide guidance aligned to company policies, employment practices, and applicable labor laws
  • Handle sensitive situations with discretion, professionalism, and care
  • Support organizational changes, leadership transitions, workforce planning discussions, and change management efforts
  • Help leaders build clarity and alignment through times of business or team change
  • Use HR insights, data, and business context to inform recommendations
  • Collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Learning & Development, and other partners to deliver aligned support
  • Maintain accurate documentation and utilize HR systems, case management tools, and reporting resources effectively
  • Contribute to process improvements that increase consistency, speed, and quality
