Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in automotive finance, F&I products, reinsurance, dealer participation programs or related financial services.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership or management experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Insurance/Risk Management, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance, F&I products, dealer support programs, and/or automotive financial services.
  • Working knowledge of reinsurance structures, dealer commutations, actuarial valuation, reserving, solvency calculations, and risk modeling.
  • Advanced financial, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret pricing models, profitability trends, risk exposure, and portfolio performance data.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of reinsurance administration and accounting principles, including premium cessions, loss recoveries, and collateral management.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with underwriting, actuarial, finance, and legal teams.
  • Ability to develop and execute product strategies, program enhancements, and go-to-market plans that support revenue, profitability, penetration, and portfolio objectives.
  • Strong vendor, partner, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and influence across internal teams, OEM partners, dealers, and external providers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex business, financial, and risk information to senior leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead cross-functional initiatives, and drive execution in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Ability to successfully lead, coach, develop, and mentor direct reports.
  • Strategic and critical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, evaluate alternatives, and recommend value-added solutions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills to support financial analysis, portfolio reporting, and executive-level presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee HCA/OEM and dealer support programs, including Reinsurance and auto insurance (Root), to help meet enterprise goals.
  • Manage key relationships (HCA, OEM, Sales, and vendors).
  • Formulate go-to market strategies to expand HPP, GPP, and PPES programs.
  • Manage program loss strategy along with various aspects of portfolio management, including quarterly risk and business reviews.
  • Partner with Field Sales teams to develop and execute dealer support strategies that drive income growth through dealer back-end programs.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and operational oversight of dealer incentive and volume-based programs.
  • Collaborate with HCI field sales teams to identify and execute opportunities that expand dealer participation and increase insurance product penetration.
  • Develop and execute immediate and long-term business strategies and operating plans to support loss controls, and drive HCI business growth to achieve revenue, profitability, penetration, and portfolio targets.
  • Own administration and execution of customized programs including but not limited to launch, marketing, communication, payment, and all other aspects of program execution.
  • Conduct detailed financial and qualitative analysis of dealer structure proposals, evaluating pricing, terms, and conditions, and providing data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Lead the end-to-end reinsurance contract lifecycle, including strategy development, negotiation, execution, administration, settlement, and ongoing performance oversight.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for dealer reinsurance accounts, including CFC, NCFC, and Par Retro structures.
  • Evaluate the financial, operational, and risk implications of reinsurance proposals and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with program administrators, trust banks, and accounting teams to ensure accurate funding, surplus releases, reporting, and account maintenance.
  • Develop and expand relationships with key brokers and ceding companies, leading negotiations of treaty terms, structures, and pricing.
  • Monitor reinsurance market developments, competitive practices, and emerging risks to identify strategic opportunities.
  • Establish and continuously improve internal controls, governance standards, and operating practices for the reinsurance function.
  • Identify pricing and program improvement opportunities, develop business cases, and lead implementation of approved enhancements and expansion strategies.
  • Support dealer acquisitions, ownership transitions, and portfolio transfers involving reinsurance structures.
  • Lead quarterly business and risk reviews, translating portfolio results into executive-level insights, recommendations, and action plans.
  • Build relationships and partner with HCI/HCA field sales to develop customized dealer (incentive) programs that drive sales volume and penetration.
  • Work with strategic partners to negotiate, enhance, and develop new insurance initiatives to support growth and improve profitability.
  • Oversee program Administrator(s) to conduct portfolio management activities, including product performance monitoring, profitability analysis, risk assessments, and strategic business reviews.
  • Represent HCI with executive-level internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members by providing direction, performance feedback, and support to ensure effective collaboration, professional growth, and achievement of organizational and personal goals.
