About The Position

The Sr. Manager, GSOC & Threat Monitoring is a critical leadership role responsible for protecting DePuy Synthes’ people, assets, facilities, and operations through proactive global security operations and threat intelligence. This role leads the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) strategy, ensuring continuous monitoring, incident response coordination, and intelligence‑driven decision making across a complex, global MedTech environment. This position plays a key role in enabling business continuity, executive protection, and crisis response while partnering closely with corporate security, IT, facilities, and business leadership. The opportunity offers high visibility, meaningful impact, and the chance to shape how security intelligence supports a newly forming standalone organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Security Management, Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Risk Management, or related field).
  • Typically requires 8–10+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, intelligence, GSOC operations, or threat monitoring.
  • Proven experience leading or managing a GSOC or similar 24/7 operations environment.
  • Strong background in threat intelligence, incident management, and crisis response.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing professional teams.
  • Ability to assess complex risks and translate intelligence into actionable recommendations.
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to senior leaders and executives.
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in healthcare, MedTech, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with security technologies, monitoring platforms, and intelligence tools.
  • Experience supporting executive protection and global travel security programs.
  • Knowledge of business continuity, emergency management, and resilience planning.
  • Experience partnering closely with IT security, facilities, and enterprise risk teams.
  • Prior experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or organizational transitions.
  • CPP, PSP, CISM, or relevant intelligence/security certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC), ensuring 24/7 monitoring and response capabilities.
  • Lead global threat monitoring, intelligence analysis, and risk assessment to identify, assess, and mitigate emerging security threats.
  • Develop and maintain GSOC operating models, standard operating procedures, escalation protocols, and performance metrics.
  • Coordinate response to security incidents, crises, and emergencies, serving as a central command and communication hub.
  • Partner with regional security teams, corporate functions, and external partners to support travel security, executive protection, and site security.
  • Oversee GSOC technology platforms, tools, and integrations to enhance situational awareness and operational effectiveness.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of security analysts and GSOC professionals.
  • Provide executive‑level reporting, briefings, and intelligence products to support leadership decision making.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and global security standards.
