As Senior Manager, Global Trade Compliance, you'll lead the company’s global trade compliance strategy for a multi-jurisdictional manufacturing organization. This role ensures compliance with international import/export laws, sanctions, customs regulations, tariff programs, and emerging ESG requirements. Reporting to the VP of Tax & Trade, this leader serves as the company’s subject matter expert on global trade compliance, advising senior leadership while implementing practical, scalable processes that protect the business and support growth. This is a hybrid position based out of our Global HQ in Rosemont, IL - M/F remote and T-Th are in-office collaboration days #LI-Hybrid

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 10+ years of global trade compliance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of team leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in customs regulations, export controls, sanctions programs, and FTAs
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and operate cross-functionally in a global organization

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the global import/export compliance program.
  • Oversee denied party screening, embargo controls, ECCN/HTS classification, country of origin, valuation, marking, and record retention.
  • Ensure compliant import procedures across all facilities.
  • Lead tariff mitigation strategies, including Free Trade Agreements and Duty Drawback programs.
  • Integrate trade compliance into new product launches and enterprise initiatives (e.g., PACE).
  • Support M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration.
  • Participate in Data Governance and cross-functional compliance councils.
  • Monitor global sanctions, export controls, customs regulations, and trade restrictions.
  • Advise senior leadership on regulatory changes and business impact.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements aligned to evolving requirements.
  • Lead compliance efforts related to CSRD, CBAM, and other applicable ESG regulations.
  • Partner with Finance and Sustainability to ensure reporting accuracy and audit readiness.
  • Lead internal and external trade compliance audits and corrective actions.
  • Develop compliance training and maintain global trade policies and procedures.
